8:00 am - OH SNAP
Woops!

A slight miscalculation has resulted in a minor chuckle.
Don't worry, all offending parties have been sacked.

I need to organize my shit better, or at least keep better track of it.

ps: This is no relation to the last post, just something I noticed and felt the need to address in the most cryptic way possible. THAT PERSON IS STILL A JERK/POSSIBLY NOT A JERK.

I've been watching an ungodly amount of TV these past few nights. Why can't Law and Order just be on EVERY DAY.

TRUTH

You know, I really don't understand some people. If you have a problem with someone, why don't you just SAY SO? What can we hope to accomplish if we just ignore what it is that's bothering us, and just let it go unresolved?

If I have a problem, I'll say so. I've always done that. I go out of my way, most of the time, to be respectful and open to discussion, but I would never just leave it unsaid.

If you've been in my physical presence at any point in the last 6 months, then this isn't about you. Actually, it's probably not about any of you. Because if it was, I would say "HEY, WHAT'S THE PROBLEM SONNY?"

Or would I? I don't even know. Because I don't even know if there IS a problem or not. Blah blah. Venting. Blah.

I watched The Bucket List on HBO earlier. It was absolutely awful. Absolutely. And the Sky Diving scene scared the shit out of me.

GOD DAMN YOUR BOILS, MOVIE THEATERS.

I WANT TO SEE MOON.

I'M SICK OF YOUR BULLSHIT. YOU'RE PLAYING THE HANGOVER ON 5 SCREENS. ONE OF THOSE SCREENS CAN BE SACRIFICED FOR ANOTHER MOVIE.

Even the "indie" theater has betrayed me. Then again, they broke my heart years ago.

Juxtaposed to the previous rant, Transformers was PRETTY GOOD. As long as you want NOTHING to do with characterization, plot, structured storytelling, THE ABSENCE OF ENORMOUS PLOT HOLES, and tasteful humor. If you want to see GIANT ROBOTS PANCH and a pretty EPIC final battle, not to mention a BLOOD RIOT OPTIMUS PRIME, then you'll be pleased.

B+
Bump that up to an A+ if you're a fan of racially offense robots and a random scene of two dogs humping. Twice.

Eh... make that a B-

3:51 pm - Why I hate Transformers fans, part 36:
We only bought a (medium size toy) and two (small size toys) from Revenge of The Fallen. No more Transformers in this house as long as they're related to the Bay films. I'm all for grown-up films, but this is just immature dreck designed for horny teenagers (and the douches who produced this movie). It's a kids franchise ffs and I shouldn't have to explain to our (almost) four year-old why he can't see it.

If I had only known a couple weeks earlier I wouldn't have bought any RotF toys. If Hasbro wants to see the Transformers brand turned into filth, fine, but the kids in this house aren't gonna be a part of it.

This is in response to a FART JOKE.
A robot, while falling, farts a parachute out.

I don't know, the last time I checked, kids LOVED fart jokes. They're designed for kids. They're all over TV. You'd have to be trying pretty hard to find a kid's show devoid of them.

The real issue here is the mindnumbing realization that this movie is rated PG-13. By that very fact alone, you should have realized that this movie wasn't going to be aimed at 4 year olds. If it's anything like the first one, there's going to be a lot of loud, scary, giant pointy robots. And some blood, and yes... maybe even some stuff aimed at HORNY TEENAGERS (Megan Fox). You know, the ones that would be between the ages of 13 and 17... the age group that a PG-13 movie might be aimed at. OH WAIT.

Ugh. My monitor blew out about a week ago. LG responded with a ton of help, payed to ship my monitor to them for a free replacement, and filled me with confidence of the consumer variety.

But then... MYSTERIES. They still haven't received the old monitor yet, so they still haven't shipped the new one. So I'm still using Mary's laptop to BROWSE and LOOK AT NAKED LADIES and 4CHAN, but not download stuff, because my external hard drive isn't compatible with this laptop. Which means NO SHIN MAZINGER or KAMEN RIDER DECADE. Sigh.

I feel like crap, too. No particular reason. Just feeling kind of crappy.

I'd like to try and get out to the movies tomorrow night. I guess to see The Hangover, because the two movies I WANT to see aren't playing here yet (Moon, and Away We Go.)

Mary and I chipped in together to get Starfy for the DS. I want to play it, because it looks ENORMOUSLY FUN. But I haven't finished Endless Frontier yet, and I have no motivation to rush through it. OH WELL.

OH LOOK I HAVE A TWITTER. DOGBARKINGBEES. LET'S [TWIT] AT EACH O[T]H[ER].

Attempting to take a step into the future:
http://twitter.com/DogBarkingBees

What is even the point of a twitter? Communicating entirely in facebook status updates? We'll give it a shot.

In other news: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom? On MY Wii? It's more likely than you think!
http://e3.gamespot.com/story/6210358/tatsunoko-vs-capcom-ultimate-all-stars-first-look

So we're losing 1 Tatsunoko character, gaining 5 new exclusive characters, and getting online play (which the Japanese version is lacking.) That's pretty awesome, right? Oh wait, that's not hardcore gamer enough. WE SHOULD BOYCOTT CRAPCOM FOR ALTERING THE US VERSION OF THE GAME FUCKING CENSORING SHITPILES. ANGRYFACES.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about it. Some all around fantastic Wii news out of E3, actually. Now maybe I'll stop waiting to play Super Mario Galaxy all the way through. I don't even have a reason why I haven't!

Who even uses Livejournal anymore?

So much has happened in these past few weeks. Months?

So much NOTHING that is! HAW HAW.

Yo, sons... Street Fighter IV is pretty great. If only I had people to play it with HINT HINT.

The new Decemberists album is also pretty great.

I may or may not be selling a huge DVD shelf soon. Yeah, that's the caliber of NEWS that I have these days. OH WELL.

If any of you out there truly care for me...
I mean, in any way whatsoever.

Then you'll understand that I need this.
http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN955621

And you'll buy it for me. I'd even pay you back. Slowly.

But the fact remains that if I don't have that, my life will be considerably worse. Because I can't just walk into a store and buy it whenever I want. And that makes me sick, internet.

Sick.

3:59 am - Not that anyone on my FList would care...
Just some self-spam advertising here. Which serves two purposes, actually:

1: It advertises. Derp.
2: It explains to Mary why I was awake all night. Kind of.

ANYWAY. I'm part of a group online that's translating and releasing (subtitled) the Original Kamen Rider, along with the first "modern" series in the franchise, Kamen Rider Kuuga. Because I have ABSOLUTELY ZERO knowledge of Japanese, my job is to rewrite the translated scripts so they sound more fluid, and edit the subtitles so they "work" right. It's all very complicated. Lots of levers and switches.

For those of you that know me well enough, you know how big of a BONER I have for Kamen Rider. It's right up there with my favorite shit ever. YOU KNOW, SPIDER-MAN, DRAGONBALL, TRANSFORMERS, AND KAMEN RIDER. Why, those of you that remember my days on Fearsome, or even BACK IN THE DAY (like, at least two hundred years ago) remember my obsession with BURNING JUSTICE AND ETC... SO YEAH, this is a big deal to me.

If you:
- enjoy shows about asian men in silly costumes punching the same
- are a child at hear still
- like stuff that's AWESOME
- enjoy reading subtitles

Then this is the site for you!
http://msubstoku.blogspot.com/

If you have any loser friends, feel free to let them know, too.
I know that some of you do. We can smell our own.

SEE?

Plus, annoying dramatics that happened at the con. But I'll post about that later, when I'm more awake. And I seriously will, because I've been raging over it for days. I'm also sick. Like, I wish I could rip my head off and throw it in a lake, sick. SIGH.

Could this be the end of The Simpsons?

Nancy Cartwright (Bart Simpson's voice actress. Derp.) Is name dropping the character in phone-spam for Scientology events. Using his voice and some of his catchphrases.
Needless to say, this is a MASSIVE breach of contract for the character. Not only to Matt Groening, but to FOX. I can't see this ending neatly.

Open letter to any internet superstars:

I've re-added you, and that guy you spoke to in Dunkin Donuts was the franchise owner, and he wouldn't get Christ off the cross for Mary Magdelin.

ALSO my cell number is 528-6250 if you'd like to text. YOU KNOW THE AREA CODE.

I have post-christmas depression, and I haven't slept all night, and I have to be at work in less than two hours.

I wish it was like BACK IN THE DAY. When we were younguns. The entire holiday revolved around us, and we didn't have to do ANYTHING until after new year. But alas. It's not like that. The very thought of mindlessly trudging through a day of work instead of sitting around and playing Wii, or putting together Legos, or just watching TV and eating cookies, is making me feel blue.

SIGH.

Speaking of Legos, I WISH I HAD A CREDIT CARD:
http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=10192

Because that is an insane discount. Legos NEVER go on sale. Ever. Let alone that cheap.
